Ina-Garten

Ina Garten is well-known American cookbook author as well as an Emmy award winning host of Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa which began in 2002, and has been aired for up to 2020 in 27 seasons. Ina Garten began her professional career at the White House where she wrote nuclear energy policies and budget documents. She initially adored the intellectual rigors that came with her work, but she quickly stopped her the interest. In her place, she purchased Barefoot Contessa, a specialty restaurant. It took her nearly 18 years to turn the store into hugely successful, and then decided to sell it. After that, she started writing her first cookbook. A number of other books and magazines followed. The Food Network TV show also debuted, and was a huge hit. She sells many items, from the ingredients needed for food preparation to kitchenware, storage and even cooking equipment. Ina never went to any cookery schools nor was she employed in a dining establishment. Her education is completely self-taught. Her easy-going approach to entertaining and her straightforward cooking style are well known. Some of her best known recipes include the Skillet-Roasted lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
