Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights activist, author, model and actor. Her films include Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). Growing up in a family of artists in New York she wished to work in the field of arts. Her first job was as a photo assistant. After that, she switched to modelling and acting. Her first two movies were noticed and she received the Golden Globe Award of Most promising newcomer. MacGraw became an international celebrity after her movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. MacGraw was deemed the top box office star in the world after only three releases. In 1972, her footprints along with her signature were recorded on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. In addition, she was a part of The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, and other films. Moving Pictures is her autobiography which was published in the year 1991. MacGraw has been married 3 times.
